Austinative is currently just one person – me, Laura! But I have an amazing network of folks to tap into when needed!
I am a certified Texas Master Naturalist and member of the Capital Area Master Naturalists. Most of my work with them has focused on ecological restoration projects. I have also completed two courses with the Native Plant Society of Texas and have helped lead the plant walk for their Level 1 class. Additionally, I started a neighborhood meetup for native plant gardeners, where we help each other learn about gardening with native plants in Austin!
My professional experience has ranged from environmental education to fundraising to advertising. I started my consulting services for native landscapes because I have a deep love for Central Texas and want to see more spaces created promoting biodiversity.
